Tree climber

Lindsey likes to try to keep up with her older cousins Joseph and Josh. They were climbing trees, so Lindsey had to climb trees. I couldn't believe that she was able to do it, but she was actually pretty good! Until she fell out. Lindsey loves to visit Grandma Sherry and Grandpa Lyle because she gets to play outside. Alot. The only bad thing about her playing outside is that she ends up getting a lot of cuts, lumps, and bumps. She eventually fell out of the tree and ended up with a rash on her stomach. Earlier that morning, she was bouncing on the air mattresses with the older kids and hit her head on the stone fireplace. She has a great bruise on her forehead from that one and another bruise on her arm. She was also running around most of the day with shoes but no socks, and the result from that was blisters on both heels. Poor kid. You would think that she was abused with all the bumps and bruises that she has, but she sure did have a great time this weekend.

Her wonderful bruised forehead. This was taken a couple hours after it happened. Today it looks much worse!

Dyeing Easter eggs

We also dyed Easter eggs at Megan's birthday party. Jason did a great job helping all the kids with this part. They made some pretty creative eggs.

Lindsey is showing off Jason's masterpiece.
And here is Lindsey's masterpiece. Pretty good for a first-timer.

Easter egg hunting

We had an Easter egg hunt for Megan's birthday party. I think that the kids had a blast finding eggs. We had close to 200 hundreds eggs for the kids to find. Lindsey had a great time too.

Wyatt climbed the tree to get this egg because it was out of his reach.
Jason, Megan and Lindsey hunting for eggs. Luke was trying to get in on the action too.

Okay, let's see if I can name all these kids! From left to right: Bethany, Joseph, Johanna, Josh, Lindsey, Amanda, Megan, Mariah, Wyatt and Jacob.

This one is just for Alex. I was teasing him about not getting any action lately, but I think that I was wrong! Love you, Alex!

Happy Birthday, Megan!

My baby girl is ONE!! We celebrated Megan's first birthday on Friday, April 10. It is hard to believe that a whole year has come and gone. It went way too fast and now I have a toddler instead of a baby. I think that Megan had a great birthday. We took the kids to Cody for the weekend and had a big party on Saturday. We dyed Easter eggs and had a Easter egg hunt. I think that the kids had a great time. I will post some pictures from the Easter egg hunt later. So enjoy the pictures of my little birthday girl.

We had chocolate cupcakes with strawberry frosting. Megan really enjoyed hers.Yummy! The first bite.
Birthday gifts.
Trying to get the hang of the paper.
Big sister Lindsey to the rescue! I think Lindsey opened all of Megan's presents for her. Hey, what are big sisters for, right?
Megan's favorite gift was this baby doll from Grandma JoAnn and Grandpa Joe.
She threw a fit when we took it away from her to get it out of the package.
A camo outfit from Aunt Julie and Uncle Gabe. She looks like a little boy, but Jason sure likes it.

Dr. Goodrich

We received this idea from Grandma JoAnn and Grandpa Joe who are in China. In China, the first birthday is a pretty big deal. The baby is placed in front of some items and whichever item the baby chooses, that will be his/her profession. Megan had a number of items to choose from. We had a book for a teacher, a pen for a writer, an airplane for a pilot, a calculator for an accountant, a box of crayons for an artist, a duck for a veterinarian, a spoon for a homemaker. The only one that Megan was interested in was the empty prescription bottle, so I guess that means that she will do something in the medical profession.

Sisters

Lindsey and Megan had a great time today playing with their small rocking chair. Megan really had fun rocking. Here they are sitting in the chair together. I have the cutest girls and they really do love each other.

Snow drifts

Yesterday we got a lot of snow. In between Conference sessions, Lindsey decided that she wanted to go play in the snow. We had a huge snow drift right in front of the house and Lindsey had a great time playing in the snow while I shoveled the driveway.

"So big!"

The other day I made spaghetti for dinner. I decided that Megan is big enough that she can eat it all by herself. She had a great time eating and getting messy. Lindsey and I were trying to get her to raise her arms up by saying, "Meggie Lu is so big!" She thought that was a lot of fun. She really IS getting so big!

Lindsey and her toys

Lindsey has been so funny with her toys lately. We had to get a couple of pictures and share with everyone.
My little Lindsey with her baby doll sitting in the window. Here she is builing walls with her blocks.
Another "tall, tall tower" she built with her blocks.
The funniest thing that she does with her babies is "putting them to sleep." She will empty my drawers of every dishcloth and use those as "blankets" for her babies. She will also use the scouring pads as "pillows." She is such a funny little girl. I asked her if she wanted to take these babies into bed with her one night. She said no, that they were sleeping and I had to leave them there.
