Happy Easter!

For Easter this year, we decided to do our own family Easter egg hunt in the backyard. It was a hit! The kids loved being able to find the 80+ eggs that I hid for them. Colter even got into it.

Looking for eggs.

There might be one in the egg box.

Showing off his loot.

Lindsey found a lot.

Megan didn't want to show me the eggs that she found.

Oh, well, I guess she changed her mind.

Early birthday party in SLC

We happened to go to Salt Lake at the beginning of April for a funeral. While we were there, Grandma JoAnn gave Megan an early birthday party! She thought it was great and still talks about her party in Salt Lake. While the reason for going to Salt Lake was sad, it was still great to see family.

All dressed up

Megan decided she wanted to get dressed up for school one day, so he had me curl her hair and we put a pretty headband in it. She looked so stinking cute that I had to snap a few pictures.

Second lost tooth

Lindsey lost her second tooth at school. I guess that it was a pretty big deal for the kids in her class to have their teacher, Mrs. Anderson, pull a tooth. She would pull it and then they would get to go to the nurse's office and get a small box to put the tooth in and wear around their neck. This one was pretty loose and on the day that she lost it, Mrs. Anderson was playing dentist and pulled two or three others. I think seeing all the other kids get their teeth pulled was why Lindsey let her do it.

Toothless smile

Missing two teeth, but not for long!

Sisters

I had to throw in one of Colter!

Playing around

We have this toy dog that is supposed to swim, but doesn't actually swim. He came with a pair of goggles that this kids like to wear. Megan had to try them on for me.

Playing with toys.

First Lost Tooth

Lindsey lost her very first tooth on February 15th. It had been loose for quite a while and she had been working on it every day. That day we had given her some dental floss and tied it around the loose tooth. It just wouldn't come! Jason and I were so excited for her to lose a tooth. (This was a big milestone for us too!) Every time I tried to just pull it, she would scream and tell me to stop. Finally I took her into the bathroom and told her I was just going to look at. I was distracting her by asking her questions when I grabbed the tooth with a tissue and just yanked it out! She didn't even cry and was so excited! The Tooth Fairy gave her three whole dollars! Talk about cleaning up on your first tooth.

Toothless grin

Megan had to get in on the picture-taking too.

And so did Colter.

Love!

Sillest faces!

One more of my pretty, toothless girl.

Career Day

For Kindergarten Career Day the kids were asked to dress up as what they would like to be when they grow up. Lindsey picked a cheerleader. I honestly don't know where she got that from, but that is what she wanted to be. I had to borrow a cheerleader outfit from a friend. Doesn't she make the cutest cheerleader ever?

Go team!

A Girl Scout

This school year, Lindsey decided that she would like to join Girl Scouts. I don't have much experience with this group, but she had a lot of fun. She had a great Daisy leader and made a lot of friends. She also sold quite a few cookies in February and March. Here she is showing off her Girl Scout vest.

Christmas 2011

I really thought that I had taken more than just three pictures at Christmas this year, but I guess not! I suppose I'll have to do better next year. It was a great Christmas and we really enjoy the holiday season.

Colter loves Megan's new car!

He was so tired from everything that he fell asleep in the jumper.

Visiting with Santa

The girls were especially excited to see Santa this year. Lindsey knew exactly what she wanted and told him very clearly that she wanted a music box. Megan was not at all afraid of him and was the first to sit on his lap. We took them to the Mason's Lodge this year. Each child got a Christmas card with a dollar coin in it and they had a free lunch with hot dogs and cookies. The girls were loving it!

Lindsey knew what she wanted!

This is as close as Colter would go!

Happy 1st Birthday to Colter!

We celebrated Colter's first birthday at home with a few friends. He didn't really know what was happening, but it was fun for him (and the other kids) to open some presents and have a little bit of cake. We are so lucky to have this little boy in our family! What a blessing and a joy he is in our lives!
