My flowers

The last few years, we haven't had much luck with our landscaping. Almost every tree we plant seems to die, and we have lost more bushes than I can count. But, one of my favorite things about spring and summer are my flowers, so I have to show off how well they have bloomed for me. They make me smile.

This is the iris that we got from Jason's grandmother. We planted it a few years ago, but this is the first year that it has bloomed. We also have a white one, and I love them so much.
We call this one our "snow-ball bush" because the blossoms are big white balls. I'm not sure of the actual name for it, but it is very pretty.
Our beautiful hostas. These ones are so much fun to watch grow because they grow fast. Looking back, I think that Jason would have planted more of these because they seem to be the only ones that we could keep alive.
My potted barrel. My mom always had a few barrels out in front of the house, so I feel like my house isn't complete without one. Mom always planted petunias though, and last year I did as well. This year I decided to try something different, and I really like the results.
I'm not sure of the name for this plant. I don't even know where we got it from. The only thing that I do know is that it is one of the only plants that has come back year after year for us. We love it because it gets so tall and full.
My front flower bed. Jason likes the antlers.
